A-Mute Cup mute for tenor trombone

A very light, easy-to-grip cup mute with a beautiful sound, excellent response and very good intonation. Due to its low weight (Denis Wick 229g vs. A-Mute 176g), the left hand is relieved when playing with a mute and it doesn't pull the trombone down so much at the front. I really like the warm, mellow, not too „top-heavy“ sound across all octaves and it can be varied very nicely by moving the cup unit. The response is remarkable in all registers, even the contra-B is fully in the centre. The intonation remains almost the same, it doesn't get noticeably higher. In addition, its special shape and surface make it easy to pick up when things need to move quickly. The icing on the cake is the personalisation, e.g. with names. I am absolutely convinced and have bought the whole set of A-Mute steamers.
