Cup geometries. A "cup type" represents the specific geometry that consistently maintains proportionality across all variations of nominal diameter and cup depth. This ensures that the tonal characteristics remain consistent within a "cup type." The variants of a cup type serve to adapt to the unique physical characteristics of individual musicians.

Our cup types are structured by volume size. For trumpet and flugelhorn mouthpieces, the "Cup Type P" features the larger cup volumes, while "Cup Type B" offers the somewhat smaller volumes. For trombone mouthpieces (including baritone and bass trumpet), the largest cup volumes are found in "Cup Type P," followed by "Cup Type K" for slightly smaller ones, "Cup Type G" for medium volumes, and "Cup Type B" for small cup volumes. To compare volume sizes, the view of each selected model includes a list that contains specific details on the cup volume.

Given the diversity of our product range, it can be helpful to use familiar parameters as a point of reference. For example, you could start with the mouthpiece you currently play and use its corresponding nominal diameter as a baseline. If we can assist you in pre-selecting models for testing, we look forward to receiving your inquiries.
