Finally an overdampers that you can use!
So far, all the overdampers I have used have had the unpleasant characteristic of raising the intonation by almost a quarter of a tone, they were simply all too high and therefore unusable for longer/regular use, apart from the significantly increased blowing resistance. It doesn't help if they fit into the bell and are always in the gig bag.
This A-Mute mute does a much better job, the intonation remains (almost) unchanged, it only gets a few cent higher, barely audible and the back pressure in the instrument also remains in a very pleasant range. It reduces the volume significantly, but still responds very well in all registers. If you take it apart, it also fits into a „normal“ case or gig bag, the lower part (with a cleaning cloth in between as scratch protection) fits into the bell, the small upper part fits into the utensil compartment for the lubricator and mouthpiece. The icing on the cake is the personalisation with your own name, for example. I bought the whole set of A-Mute mutes straight away and am absolutely convinced that they are really great mutes at a very fair price.
