Mutes & use

How do I find the right mute for my instrument?

First choose the instrument group, then the mute type: a practice mute for quieter practice, or a straight, cup or wah-wah mute for a particular tone colour. Then check the fit and contents of the specific model.
“Trumpet” does not automatically include piccolo trumpet or flugelhorn. MultiTone compatibility information also does not apply automatically to other models. For advice about an unusual instrument design, include its manufacturer and exact model.

Straight M1 or MultiTone – what is the difference?

Both are straight mutes for trumpet. The M1 uses carbon-fibre-reinforced 3D-printed material and includes three 6.0 mm and three 5.3 mm rubber pads.
The MultiTone has a threaded, interchangeable bottom plate. It includes copper, stainless-steel and wood sound boosters, plus one set each of 5.6 mm and 5.0 mm pads.
Choose the MultiTone if you want to try different tone colours by changing the bottom plate of one mute. A straight mute does not replace a practice mute.

Do I need a practice mute or a straight, cup or wah-wah mute?

For quieter practice at home or on the move, choose a practice mute made for your instrument. Choose a straight, cup, wah-wah or bucket mute for its particular sound colour when playing.
Check the instrument in the product name: trumpet, piccolo trumpet, flugelhorn, French horn, trombone and euphonium have separate models. A trumpet mute is not a universal fit for all brass instruments.

What do the three MultiTone discs sound like, and are they included?

Yes. The MultiTone Straight for trumpet includes all three sound boosters:
• Copper: warm and full.
• Stainless steel: clear, direct and somewhat brighter.
• Wood: soft and warm.
Each disc forms the bottom plate and is changed using the threaded system. You do not need to buy three separate mutes to try these three materials.

Which rubber pads are included with the M1 and MultiTone?

Straight M1 for trumpet: 3 × 6.0 mm and 3 × 5.3 mm.
MultiTone Straight for trumpet: one 5.6 mm set and one 5.0 mm set.
The pads are replaceable and allow adjustment to the bell. Other thicknesses are sold separately. These quantities apply to these two trumpet models; other mutes have their own contents.

Does the MultiTone also fit rotary-valve and E-flat trumpets?

The MultiTone Straight for trumpet is designed for piston-valve and rotary-valve trumpets. An E-flat trumpet requires rubber pads of 4.7 mm or smaller.
These smaller pads are sold separately: the standard MultiTone package contains 5.6 mm and 5.0 mm sets. This compatibility information applies to the MultiTone, not automatically to every other model.

How do I rotate the 3D model and still scroll on my phone?

Drag directly over the model to rotate it. To scroll the page, swipe within the strip about 1 cm wide along the left or right edge of the screen. This lets you scroll past the 3D view without first moving away from it. Not every product has a 3D view.

Orders & payment

Which payment methods are available?

The payment information page lists bank transfer, PayPal, debit and credit cards, and local methods including Bancontact, BLIK, EPS, iDEAL, MyBank, Przelewy24, Trustly and Multibanco.
Not every method is offered for every order. Use the options actually displayed at checkout after selecting your country. With bank transfer, you must arrange the payment yourself; dispatch starts only after payment is received.

Payment information
How does payment by bank transfer work?

Select bank transfer at checkout and use the order number as the payment reference so the payment can be matched to your order. Transfer the amount to the bank account provided in your order information.
Your order is dispatched only after the money reaches the account. Placing an order with this method does not itself make a payment. The payment information page also lists PayPal, cards and local methods; checkout shows the options available for your order.

Payment information
Can I change an order after placing it?

Once an order has been placed, editing your basket no longer changes that order. Get in touch as soon as possible with the order number and the exact change: item, quantity or delivery address.
I will check whether it is still possible at the current processing stage. A change applies only once confirmed. Please do not place a second order just to communicate a correction.

How long do I have to withdraw, and who pays return postage?

Under the published withdrawal policy, consumers have 14 days from receiving the last item to notify withdrawal clearly, for example by email or using the “Withdraw from contract” function. You do not need to give a reason.
You must then return the goods within 14 days of notifying withdrawal. You pay the direct return shipping costs. This is a summary; the full instructions and return address are in the withdrawal policy.
